Pantex is thrilled to announce the expansion of The Village on Blain, a move set to significantly increase accommodation capacity in Blackwater. With the growing demand for workforce housing, this expansion will add 132 new accommodation modules and vital facilities. The expansion will also feature extensive deep planting and landscaping to enhance the village’s visual appeal and create a welcoming environment for residents.
Pantex is adopting a phased approach to the expansion, which will eventually add 450 new rooms over three stages. This strategy is designed to align with the evolving needs of Blackwater’s workforce and surrounding industries. The first phase includes the newly announced accommodations, with plans to connect the new development seamlessly to the existing village through pathways and internal roads.
The expansion’s layout includes thoughtful amenities, such as laundries, BBQ areas, and clotheslines strategically located to serve 120 rooms each, connected by pathways for convenience. With an additional main site entrance planned on the eastern side of the complex and accommodation connected via pathways suitable for pedestrian and golf buggy traffic, the new design promises a well-integrated, user-friendly environment.
